About the Author:

MIGUEL ANGEL DURANTE

I completed my primary and secondary education by circulating through various cities due to my parents’ jobs. I studied history at the University of Seville. Thanks to the ecologist groups I met during my university years, I began to think, read, and then write about natural life. I decided to fight with all the threats to the future of humanity, such as climate change, GMO products, nuclear power plants, fast food, etc. I have had the chance to express myself in countless activities.

I will continue to write for both adults and children. If humanity cannot solve ecological problems, it will not have a future. With this in mind, I will continue to write and produce ideas, and be an activist. In this process, I believe fiction books are needed to feed creative thoughts just as much as non-fiction books.

Since I write my books to address every part of the world, I endeavour to use universal language ensuring that all readers, children and adults, can understand them.

I continue to teach in the university’s history department. As we learn about history, I think our views about the future gains clarity. I hope to continue writing, reading, and thinking together.
