About the Author:
I was born in 1975 on cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. My mother was a teacher who taught private lessons. Sadly, she lost her life to cancer. My father used to play the piano. He lost his life in a traffic accident. They were both great people. They always motivated me to do only what I wanted to. Throughout my childhood and my youth, they never forced me to do anything I did not want to do.
I was fourteen-years-old when my first story was published in a literary magazine. Literature in school was always my favourite course.
Maybe because I was born on a ship in the middle of the ocean, I never felt like I belonged to any one nation. I grew up speaking three languages. I have always believed in the benevolence of humanity. As such, I have devoted myself to Buddhism and have achieved inner peace.
I first heard about environmental problems from a literature teacher. In those days, such topics were not widely spoken of. After that, I read whatever I could find about ecology.
Over time, I noticed amazing similarities between ecology and Buddhism. My first book, Buddhism and Ecology, was published by Dixi Books. The studies of both Buddhism and ecology are so deep I cannot finish my research on them.
I stepped into a very exciting area with my first children’s book. Writing for children is harder than writing for adults. On one hand, I do my best not to impose my opinion on young readers, as my mother and father did not do to me. On the other hand, I try to produce exciting and engaging texts. Those who also write can appreciate how difficult that is. The children who read my books are very happy with my stories. This gives me the strength and motivation to write more. I earn my living from writing and love it so much.
See you in new books…
About the Illustrator:
Fabiana Farcas was born in Romania in a very small town called Arad. Her enthusiasm for drawing emerged when she was very young, about five years old. After graduating, she turned her hand to digital art. Occasionally, she will revisit traditional methods such as watercolour on paper.
The art Fabiana most loves to create is illustration, especially if it has a focus on bright colours, the whimsical, fairies and fairy worlds, children, or nature. She also loves dogs, cats, ballet, and travelling.
